Instructions for Online Resources Project assignment:
Cf. General Description.
- Search the internet to find a reliable, high-quality online resource related to what you have studied this week. These might range from digital libraries that allow one to read and research relevant primary sources, to instructional videos, either short or long, produced by various libraries, museums, historical societies or educational institutions. The chief question to ask yourself is whether you would find the online resource interesting and helpful and relevant to this week's topics.
- After you have found an interesting and helpful online resource, post a link to the resource and describe it for your classmates. Include in your description an explanation of what you found to be helpful, interesting and relevant about the resource, and why you believe it is of high quality and reliability.
- Next, choose one resource posted by another student and check it out; then post a comment to indicate how you would recommend it to be used by a student in this course in a future semester.
- When you have done all of the above, complete the assignment by making a “Gradebook declaration” in the Quizzes section of Janux.
Your Gradebook Declaration is subject to the Honor
Code. Check all that apply: if you have completed the assignment,
you will check all five statements and earn full credit (10 points) for this assignment. If you work on the assignment at different times, you may make the Gradebook Declaration incrementally as you complete each part, to guarantee that you receive partial credit if for any reason you are unable to come back and complete the assignment at a later time. You may redo the Gradebook
Declaration as often as you like up until the due date, if any part is incomplete the first
Here is the text of the Gradebook Declaration:
