Web Project categories:

  1. Best Overall Web Project

  4. Best Use of Fonts / Colors
  5. Most User-Friendly Web Design
  6. Most Creative Web Design

  8. Best Medieval/Islamic Episode
  9. Best Early Modern Episode
  10. Best Web Project devoted to the history of a scientific discipline
  11. Best Web Project devoted to a theme or topic
  12. Favorite Single Episode based on Content: make sure you provide the name of the specific Episode in your nomination!
  13. Favorite Single Episode based on Design: make sure you provide the name of the specific Episode in your nomination!
  14. Most Humorous Web Project
  15. Most Educational / Informative Web Project

Nomination requirements. Each nomination must include:

  1. the CATEGORY you are nominating someone for,
  2. the NAME of the person (first and last name please!), and
  3. a BLURB containing at least one sentence explaining WHY this person deserves to win (this blurb will appear with the nomination).

Assignment requirements: IMPORTANT!

Please nominate at least four different web projects in at least four different categories.

  1. How many web projects must I nominate? At least four web projects.
  2. May I submit nominations in more than four categories? Yes, but only 4 categories are required.
  3. May I nominate several web projects in a single category? No; please submit no more than one nomination for each category. Additional nominations in a single category will be discarded for zero credit.
  4. May I nominate the same Web Project more than once in different categories? Yes, but you still must nominate at least four different web projects. Therefore you can submit the same Web Project in multiple categories, but then you will need to submit a total of more than four nominations, so that you have nominated at least four different web projects.
  5. Must I explain why I am nominating a Web Project for a particular category? Yes; all nominations without blurbs will be discarded for zero credit.
  6. Send me your nominations via email

Extra Credit: You can also get a point of extra credit if you nominate your favorite Interpretation that another student did, for a "Best Interpretation" assignment award. To do that, please send not only the author and title of the interpretation, along with a blurb about it, but also please include a LINK TO THE YUKU POST of your favorite Interpretation essay. If you include a complete Interpretation nomination, you will receive one point of extra credit.

LAST STEP: Make your Desire2Learn declaration

After you are done with the assignment, go to Desire2Learn and make your gradebook declaration (you will find the declaration in the Quizzes area at Desire2Learn). This Desire2Learn gradebook declaration is governed by the Honor Code.

Desire2Learn Gradebook Declaration:

(1 point) I have sent the instructor an email containing nominations in at least 4 categories.
(3 points) Each of my nominations was accompanied by a brief blurb explaining my choice.
(1 point extra credit) I have nominated my favorite Interpretation essay, sending the author's name, title, my blurb and the Yuku link to the instructor.
